INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL:
PRE-K- 6TH DROP-OFF:
All Pre-K-6th Grade students will need to be dropped off at the cafeteria on Monday morning. Students will need to enter the cafeteria through the rear door on the right side of the building by the playground. At this time we would like that you drop your student off at the door and that no parents enter the cafeteria of the mornings.
7TH AND 8TH:
7th grade students will go to Mrs. Morris first hour, in the elementary building and 8th grade students will go to Mrs.Gaylor first hour, in the library building.
9TH-12TH grades will go to the high school.
Due to unforeseen problems, our administration has made the decision to push our first day of school back to Monday, August 9th. Meet the teacher is still as originally scheduled. Everyone will meet in the cafeteria from 3:00-5:00 this evening. The archery meeting scheduled for 5:00 will be held in the cafeteria as well instead of the gym.
Due to the current spread of COVID-19 we would like to ask that only the student and parent come to Meet-the-Teacher to limit the amount of exposure. We would like to ask that you wear a mask upon entering our buildings.

What: Archery Meeting
When: Wed @ 5pm (immediately following Meet-the-Teacher night)

This is an opportunity to discuss scheduling, practices, expectations, goals, tournaments, equipment, and much more, and to meet the coach and get answers to any questions you may have.
There have been a lot of questions, most about purchasing equipment and working with students who are involved in other sports/activities. Coach Austin will address these and more at the meeting, as well as send info home.

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS AND ATHLETES:
If your child is planning on participating in sports for the 2021-2022 school year you will need to pick up a physical form and parent consent form from the coaches, and have them completed and ready to go for physicals on Tuesday August 3rd. The bus will leave Cameron at 8:45 for any student who needs a ride to and from Poteau for their physical. You are responsible for the cost of the physical.
School begins next Thursday! If you have a student that will be attending Cameron School for the 2021-2022 school year please be sure to enroll as soon as possible. If you have a new student that you are needing to enroll you will need to bring copies of their Birth Certificate, Shot Record, Social Security Card and CDIB card if applicable.

ATTENTION PARENTS:
If you have a student in 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th Grade that is interested in playing softball or baseball they will need to bring their glove starting the first day of school.
2021-2022 Cameron School Calendar
2021-2022 Pre-K-4th School Supply list. To start the year, 5th Grade and up will just need the basics (notebooks, and pencils). Should they need school supplies their teacher will tell them what they need for that class.

Cameron Archery Camp
July 27th and 28th
8:00am - 12:00pm
Grades 5-12
Open to Cameron students only.
This event gives students a chance to meet all of the new archers, as well as Coach Austin.
Each archer should wear closed-toe shoes, girls wear your hair up or back, and all archers bring their own snacks and drinks.
You will need to register for camp ASAP.
We will need: archer’s name, grade, and parent contact info.

There is still time to apply for the Summer EBT program through the Chickasaw Nation. Every Cameron student qualifies for summer EBT. The deadline to sign up is August 4th.

Pre-Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year begins today, June 15th and will go through Thursday, June 17th from 8:00-12:00 each day. Pre-K- 6th will enroll in the elementary with Shelby, 7th-12th will enroll in the high school with Mrs. Caughern.

Attention Parents: If you have a student in grades K-5 that you enrolled to attend the summer school program at Pocola this year, summer school starts Monday May, 17th and will go through June 17th. Students who will need bussed from Cameron will need to be at the school before 7:30. The bus will leave Cameron at 7:30 daily. Summer school starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. You will need to be at the school no later than 3:10 p.m. to pick your student up in the afternoon.

There WILL be school this Friday May 7th. Next Friday Mat 14th is the last day of school for the 2020-2021 school year. Please remember that all devices need to be turned in by Friday May 7th.
